In 1789, Marquis, a notoriously unruly dog, is imprisoned in the Bastille for a minor blasphemy. His only companion is Colin, his own sex, with whom he has long conversations.
Thanks to his vivid imagination, Marquis escapes into scandalous tales he commits to paper. However, the idea of a real escape takes shape when his cellmates, Pigonou and Lupino, begin planning their flight to join the revolutionary movement outside the Bastille walls.
