Charming Dr. Karl Gunther (Klaus Kinski) owns a seemingly peaceful boarding house for career driven women. The young ladies feel safe, comfortable and are utterly unaware of the good Doctor silently watching them from the narrow vents between the walls. To the average person Gunther seems quiet and kind, if a bit creepy. However, alone in his room he avidly writes in his diary, exuding tales of his fathers Nazi past, his admiration of the dreadful man and of course...his murderous history. Eager to follow in his fathers footsteps Gunther's taste for murder has become relentless. What started a long time ago, in the rooms of his hospital, as merciful has now become sadistic. The girls are in a danger not one of them could comprehend.
